DistilaMax® TQ is an active dry Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain supplied in 500 g brick format, selected for inulin- and sucrose-based fermentations across a wide range of distilling applications. It performs efficiently over a broad temperature range, with optimal alcohol yields between 30°C–35°C (86°F–95°F), and demonstrates a short lag phase, fast fermentation rate, and strong competitiveness against contaminant bacteria (K2 factor). With high alcohol tolerance up to 18%, low to average nitrogen requirements, low volatile acidity production, and the ability to ferment at lower temperatures or restart stuck fermentations, DistilaMax® TQ provides reliable, high-yield performance and a broad spectrum of desirable flavor congeners in batch fermentation processes.
